Michael Mayes, Founder, and CEO of Quantum 9 Consulting was inducted into the Forbes Chicago Business Council on January 13, 2019. The council is comprised of owners, founders, and executive leaders of businesses operating in the greater Chicago area. Their businesses must generate at least $500,000 in annual revenue or funding. New prospective members need an invitation to join the council. Once invited, applicants submit the required information about themselves and their business for review. After the winning applicants are selected for admittance they must prove themselves to be a step above the competition.
Michael Relishes His Induction Into the Forbes Chicago Business Council
After being inducted into the council, Michael wasted no time networking and introducing himself to the members. He is one of the youngest constituents of the committee. That has not stopped him from actively participating in meetings and writing blogs for the website. His blog topics include Four Tips For Running A Lean Company and more recently, How To Overcome Five Chicago Business Hurdles And Find Success As An Entrepreneur. For the recent article, Michael sat down with executives from TransMerit Merchant Services and Chowly, Inc. among others. He asked them a variety of questions to get their view on the Chicago business scene and unique climate.
As a young CEO, the opportunity to network with seasoned professionals with years of experience is invaluable. This chance is one that Michael plans to take full advantage of. In fact, he makes no secret of the fact that he joined for the knowledge saying: “I am here to learn from some of the greatest business minds in the Chicago area so if there is something that can help me in the future, and I need clarity on it I will ask just about anything.” The council induction is one that Michael is honored to carry and hold for a lifetime.
