Everyone has heard of pot brownies, but let’s branch out. Discover new weed edibles that you can try today! Enjoy these unique treats alone or with friends.

Keyword(s): weed edibles

Have you ever heard of a weed pizza? How about weed edibles?

We know what you’re thinking. Why would some (brilliant) person come up with something like this?

Simply put, it gets repetitive consuming cannabis the same way all the time. Enter the solution: weed edibles.

Consuming your dose by smoking or dabbing it also may not be everyone’s favorite way of ingesting the substance.

If you like to eat your weed, pot brownies are great, but you don’t want to have them all the time.

So, what can you do?

Whether you’re a beginner looking to try new things, a medical marijuana patient or an experienced cannabis connoisseur, this article is for you.

Here are some delicious and unique weed edibles for you to try.

Weed-Infused Butter

Weed-Infused Butter

“Cannabutter” or cannabis butter is like any other infused butter, such as the one used on garlic bread, and the recipe is simple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of butter
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 to 2 ounces of cannabis

Procedure:

Mix the water and butter together in a saucepan over a low heat. After the butter melts, add ground up cannabis to the mixture and simmer it for two to three hours.

You will have to stir it occasionally and make sure it does not come to a boil. This has the added benefit of making sure the THC is evenly distributed.

Once you’ve made it, cannabutter stores just like regular butter, and you can use it in much the same way. Some of the recipes below can utilize this ingredient.

Its taste is easy to camouflage in sweet weed edibles, but be careful in using it on its own as the taste will be quite strong.

cannabis infused olive oilOlive Oil

Goodies by MaGooch makes a hash-infused cannabis oil, which is great for using in recipes where you don’t want a strong flavor.

Since it contains 35 milligrams of THC in each quarter of a teaspoon, just a dash is enough.

It’s so versatile you can use it as an ingredient for other weed edibles. Use it on pasta, or even drizzled over popcorn.

It’s sure to make movie night a lot more interesting.

weed edible rice krispies treatsRice Krispies Treats (Gluten-Free)

Rice Krispies treats are a good alternative to pot brownies since they are both at the sweeter end of weed edibles. Since these treats are less common though, they are guaranteed to gain you “brownie points” if you make them for a party or for friends.

Bonus: you can use the oil from the recipe above!

This easy version is made with healthy ingredients AND is gluten-free, just in case you need any more excuses to indulge. But, pro tip: Don’t bring these to the school bake sale.

Get an 8 x 8-inch pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal of the squares.

Over low to medium heat melt:

  • 1/4 cup of nut butter (almond butter if you have a nut allergy)
  • 1/2 cup of brown rice syrup
  • 2 tbsps of cannabis-infused oil and 2 tbsps regular oil
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract

Pour this mixture into a large bowl, then incorporate 3 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal.

Pour the final concoction into the pan and press it into an even shape using a large wooden spoon or spatula.

Put in the fridge for an hour and keep refrigerated until you are ready to serve.

If you’re too busy (or lazy, we won’t judge) to do it yourself, you can order this ready-made version, “Kief Krispy“, made from cannabis-infused marshmallows.

Gummy Bear Weed Edibles

Gummy Bear Weed Edibles

Gummy bears aren’t just for kids, as this recipe will show.

They are great for a low-dosage high, so you won’t need to worry about overdosing as you would with eating a whole pot brownie.

You’ll need a gummy bear mold but the investment is worth it. The recipe only has five ingredients, and the gummies are freezable for quick access later.

Combine the following in a saucepan on medium to low heat:

  • 2/3 cup of pureed berries, either raspberries, blackberries, strawberries or blueberries
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
  • 2-3 tsp of cannabis tincture (alcohol or glycerin based)

Then whisk in 3 tbsps of gelatin and keep whisking until the mixture is smooth and ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.

Turn off the stove and use a dropper to fill the silicon gummy mold with the mixture.

If you don’t have a gummy pan, use a parchment-lined pan and you can cut it into squares or other shapes later.

Cool the mixture in the fridge for 15 minutes, or 5 minutes in the freezer if you’re really in a hurry!

Substitutions can also be made, such as using stevia to cut down on sugar or use juice instead of puree and water if sugar isn’t a concern for you.

Lollipop Weed EdiblesLollipop Weed Edibles

Lollipop weed edibles are also a fun way to consume your cannabis.

Eden’s Cure makes a version with melatonin which can help you get a good night’s sleep. It’s also a subtle way to ingest your dose that you can do in public without drawing attention to yourself.

To DIY it, here’s another recipe that’s a five-ingredient wonder. It can also be used to make hard candy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of organic sugar
  • 1/2 cup of organic light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of filtered water
  • 1tsp organic orange or lemon flavor
  • 2-3 tsp of cannabis tincture

Procedure:

Combine the first three ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan over medium to high heat.

Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved completely.

When it comes to a boil, insert a candy thermometer. Stop stirring once the mixture starts boiling.

You’ll have to wait until the candy thermometer reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit, then remove from the stove.

Wait until the mixture cools slightly to 250 degrees Fahrenheit then stir in the tincture and flavoring.

Carefully pour the mix into lollipop or candy molds.

Cool completely at room temperature for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Store in an airtight container, or, reward yourself with a treat right away.

Chocolate Covered Banana Weed EdiblesChoco-Covered Banana Weed Edibles

A quick and easy snack, chocolate banana weed edibles are perfect for when you’re in a rush.

Basically, it’s melted chocolate and cannabis oil that are used to coat bananas, which you then freeze.

Ingredients:

  • Half of a sliced banana
  • 1/2 tsp of cannabis oil or cannabutter from above
  • 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips

Procedure:

Mix the cannabis oil or cannabutter with the chocolate chips in an oven proof bowl.

Heat in the oven at a low temperature until melted. Higher temps will destroy the cannabinoids. About 120 degrees will do it.

Mix the chocolate mixture until it’s silky smooth.

Add the bananas to the bowl and coat well.

Put the banana slices on parchment paper and freeze.

That’s it! Be sure to label them if not eating right away, so there aren’t any mixups.

cannabis chocolate barsCannabis Chocolate Bars

A chocolate bar a day keeps the doctor away. And who are we to argue with medical advice? Super charge your chocolate high with a special ingredient to get you…high.

These bars should be approached with caution though. Eating too much of these weed edibles can result in a super strong buzz.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of cannabis oil
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt

Procedure:

Place the cocoa powder in a medium bowl.

Add the cannabis oil and maple syrup to the mixt.

Mix all of the ingredients thoroughly with a spatula, pressing the oil and syrup into the powder. Continue to do this until it’s smooth.

Get parchment paper and line a loaf pan or small baking dish. For thinner chocolate, use a larger pan.

Pour the mixture onto the paper and smooth out evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Place to chill in the freezer for at least an hour.

Once the chocolate has hardened, cut it into small squares. Store in the freezer until ready to serve.

Cannabis Creme Brûlée

Cannabis Creme Brûlée

If you’ve had enough delicious sweet snacks, here’s a fancier dessert treat for when you want to go all out.

Creme brulee weed edibles are an awesome grown-up choice for showing off advanced cannabis cuisine skills. Beezle’s Creamery even won a marijuana award for their recipe.

This version of the dish makes 6 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 vanilla pod (real vanilla is needed to do this dish right)
  • 1/2 a cup of sugar
  • The yolks of 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsps of cannabis glycerin tincture
  • 6 jars for each serving of creme brulee

Procedure:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Scrape the inside part of the vanilla pod into a saucepan, then put the body of the pod and half the sugar into a jar. Shake it, cover and put aside.

Pour cream over the vanilla in the pan and bring it to a light simmer.

Take the cream and vanilla mixture off the stove to cool.

At this point, you can line up the jars in preparation for their baking. A roasting pan or casserole dish both work.

Whisk remaining sugar and egg yolks in a bowl. Add the tincture and whip until the three ingredients are mixed.

Add the cream slowly, whisking so that the egg doesn’t cook. Do this for about three minutes, gradually introducing more cream into the bowl.

When all the cream is in the bowl, pour the mix into the six containers evenly.

Add boiling water to the roasting dish up to the jars’ halfway point.

Bake for 20 minutes at 325 Fahrenheit, rotate then bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Check on the jars – you want to see a little jiggle – but they should also seem to have congealed a little.

If they still look very liquid, bake for another 5 minutes at a time until they reach the right consistency.

Cool first and then refrigerate for at least four hours, or overnight.

The piece de resistance, of course, comes when it is time to serve the dish.

Take the jars out of the fridge and sprinkle each one with some of the vanilla sugar you’ve put aside. Then, hit it with a blowtorch.

This will make a delicious crust. It’s ready for eating right away, or after the crust is formed you can still refrigerate them for later.

Pizza Sauce Weed EdiblesPizza Sauce Weed Edibles

A great savory option among weed edibles is pizza sauce.

If you live in Massachusetts, there is a friendly neighborhood dispensary that will help you out, Ermont Inc.

If not, California residents can buy Clean Healing’s pizza sauce and make their own, using any pizza recipe.

Since it’s sugar-free, you can feel good about saucing your pizza with it. You can even use it as a dip with pieces of warm pita or flatbread. Pay attention to the guidelines on the jar regarding how strong it is.

Here’s how you can make the sauce at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 6 ounces can of tomato paste
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of cannabis oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp basil
  • 1/2 tbsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp pepper

All the spices can be adjusted to your taste.

Mix everything together in small saucepan and bring to a light boil, stirring well.

Turn down the heat to low and simmer for half an hour.

Let the mixture cool, then put in a mason jar.

Chill for at least two hours in the fridge before you serve. Shake occasionally to make sure the ingredients don’t settle.

Last step: use the sauce to make some rocking marijuana pizza!

Try Some New Weed Edibles Today

Hopefully, now you’re confident about spicing up your weed consumption or impressing your friends by trying one of these recipes.

Try out a few different ones until you find out what dosage affects you, as homemade recipes can vary in how potent they are. Depending on the ingredients you use, the THC dosage will be milder or stronger.

Be sure to never heat any cannabis-containing food over 340 degrees as the THC will start to degrade.

If you’ve made any of these recipes, be sure to let us know how it went in the comments.
